How make Simple Chicken Biryani

This Chicken Biryani is an Indian chicken recipe in which chicken is cooked with rice. Chicken biryani is a one-pot meal, its preparation does take some time but this dish is worth the effort. Chicken biryani tastes delicious when cooked with basmati rice. Chicken biryani can be cooked in different ways using either boiled or fried chicken or grilled chicken pieces called Kebab Chicken Biryani . It also uses various spices and herbs to make it more flavorful. I used fresh mint leaves along with green chilies to make Chicken Biryani taste better because mint leaves are good for digestion while green chili adds flavor to Chicken Biryani.

Basmati Rice – 2 cupssoaked in water for 30 minutes Chicken – 1 large, cut into pieces Yoghurt/Curds – 2 tbsp Ginger garlic paste – 1 tsp Mint leaves (Pudina) chopped-1/2 cup Green chili chopped- 4 Onion sliced- 1 Tomato sliced- 1/2 Lemon juice- 2 tbsp Oil or Ghee as required Salt to taste.

Tasty Simple Chicken Biryani

Preparing Chicken Biryani is very simple. It can be prepared either by cooking rice separately or along with the chicken pieces. If you are using basmati rice it should be soaked for 30 minutes before cooking Chicken Biryani Chicken Biryani . While boiling the basmati rice heat oil in a pan and saute onions until they become transparent. Add ginger garlic paste and fry until raw smell goes off Chicken Biryani . Add mint leaves, green chili and mix. Chicken Biryani To this add chopped tomatoes Chicken Biryani . Lower the heat Chicken Biryani . When tomatoes become soft Chicken Biryani , add curds Chicken Biryani and cook until oil separates from masala Chicken Biryani. Now take a heavy bottom pan or pot Chicken Biryani , in which you are going to cook Chicken beryni . Put 1/2 of sauted onion masala on the base of your pan Chicken Biryani . Then put the chicken pieces on top Chicken Biryani . Chicken Biryani Sprinkle half of the mint-green chili paste Chicken Biryani . Then pour 1/2 cup of water Chicken Biryani and cover Chicken beryni with a lid Chicken Biryani . Allow it to cook for 5 minutes on medium heat Chicken Biryani until you see 2 -3 streams of steam coming out Chicken Biryani . Switch off the flame and do not open the lid Chicken beryni for 10 minutes. This way chicken will be cooked through and rice soft and fluffy.

After 10 mins you can open the lid and check if chicken is thoroughly cooked by inserting a fork or toothpick from one end,if it goes in easily then your Chicken beryni is cooked Chicken Biryani . Now remove the chicken pieces to a plate Chicken beryni and place another heavy bottom pan over the Chicken Biryani first one.

Now spread half of the remaining onion-tomato masala Chicken Biryani , rice Chicken Biryani and remaining mint-green chili paste Chicken beryni . Add 2 cups of water Chicken Biryani then cover with lid. Cook on medium heat for 10 minutes or until steam comes out once. Chicken Biryani Switch off the flame after this and allow it to rest for 5 minutes Chicken beryni with lid on. Open the lid after 5 minutes make sure there is no more water in Rice Chicken beryni . If you feel that there is still some water you can cook Chicken Biryani without lid Chicken beryni until the water dries Chicken beryni . Chicken beryni is ready to serve.

For Chicken kebab Chicken Biryani , you need chicken pieces which are de-boned. Marinate Chicken kebab Chicken Biryani with ketchup, salt, lemon juice and red chili powder for 20 minutes Chicken Biryani . Now prepare the Kebabs by threading these marinated chicken pieces on skewers. Then grill these chicken kebabs in a preheated oven or directly over an open flame till they turn brownish orange in color from both sides. You can also fry these Chicken kebabs Chicken Biryani in oil until they turn brown Chicken Biryani . Chicken kebabs Chicken Biryani are ready to serve.
